„The future is not forecast, rather it is prepared“
The service sector is a dominant economic sector in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, therefore it is important that our students develop administrative and management skills which is the main goal of our department.
Our team is motivated to approach actual economic topics while using different teaching methods such as teamwork, ebooks or quizzes using the newest technologies.
In addition, the subjects learned in class are strengthened by real life business experiences such as company visits, visits of political institutions, internships, contests, mini-companies or innovation camps.
Physics Olympiad, educational trips, Good Year Competition
„Learning to undertake“ is one of the main missions of „Jonk Entrepreneuren Letzebuerg a.s.b.l“ and with its program „Minientreprises“, it is perfectly stimulating the entrepreneurial spirit of the students, helping them to develop the 21st century skills ( collaboration, communication, creativity an critical thinking).
The students of our 2GCG classes are participating in that project during a whole school year. During that year they produce and sell their own goods and services and have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they’ve acquired during their lessons in school.
In 2019, the mini-companies of LML won the price for the most sustainable product and for best Leadership.
Plateforme ‘Economie du partage’
Since the beginning of the school year 2019/2020, our students have created a digital platform, based on the concept of „sharing economy“.
They are managing the internet platform and can apply the skills they’ve acquired in class while developing their teamwork and digital skills. The platform is used by the school community of LML and promotes more responsible consumer habits.
Share n‘care allows students and staff to share existing goods, equipment, and services.
